Just a heads-up that after updating to 3.5.1 everything was working fine excepted the reader, remaining blank. I had to log out and log in again into my WordPress.com account to get it working again.

Feedback about 3.1 alpha 1, please note that this is on iPhone 4S / iOS6

    UI/UX:

    • From the reader, if I touch the top left button, the reader slides to the right showing the blog list.

→ I should be able to obtain the same effect swiping the reader to the right with one finger.
→ To go back to the reader, I should be able to swipe to the left ( right now, if I touch the small portion of the reader that is visible, I go back there but without any transition ).

    • From the reader again: if I touch the top right button ( leaving aside the fact that these are identical, as you know that already ) the Topics screen slides from the bottom. With a Cancel button to hide it again.

→ It did surprise me that these two screens didn’t behave in a similar way, swipe left/right would have seemed more logical.

    • From the reader: if I select one post, it appears sliding from the right to the left, to go back to the reader I have a “Blogs I follow” button ( this will probably generate localization length issues ) when swiping to the right could do the same.

As a general observation, apps using more swiping and less “touching” seem more intuitive to me ( see Path, Sparrow, Tweetbot ) and less anchored in legacy pre-touch screen interface logic.

    • In Comments, the button to Delete/Spam/Edit uses the “forward/shore” icon, it took me a moment to find how te delete a comment.
    • The comment list as an Edit button on top right to select several comments for an action, but no “swipe to delete” as usual in iOS.

    Bugs:

    • I had to remove 3.0 and install from scratch, otherwise 3.1 would crash when opening a local post I had not published yet.
    • When viewing a page, on both a .com or .org sites, the Cancel button does not work.
    • I configured a .org site, login works as I can post and update posts, but when trying to access stats, I first see an alert warning me that I need to install and activate Jetpack ( that is active already ), then a Login Error alert saying “Please enter an administrator login for this blog and refresh”. The alert has two buttons, Cancel and OK but both bring me back to an empty stats screen. ( Stats work fine on .com sites )
    • When a comment is pending, I receive a push notification, I click Launch, the app is launched, I am in the comments section for a couple of seconds, then the app crashes. ( Reproduced each time I tried ).

When I manually launch the app and go to the comments section, it works as expected ( but I need to refresh manually, the last comment is not visible yet ).

Thanks a ton for the feedback! Most of this we’re aware of already, especially the UI inconsistencies. For all the bugs, could someone make sure we cover them all? cc @kokejb
